Masters in Sanskrit, Masters in Jain Philosophy

Samani Sanmati Pragya is a disciple of H.H.Acharya Mahapragya. She was born in Bikaner, Rajasthan, India.  Samaniji took her Diksha in 1990 under H.H.Acharya Tulsi at Ladnun.

Samaniji joined Parmarthik Shikshan Sanstha, Ladnun at the age of 18. Parmarthik Shikshan Sanstha is an educational and training center for aspirants interested in taking up monk-hood in the Jain Terapanth order. While still at the Sanstha, Samaniji attended regular university courses and completed her Master’s in Sanskrit from University of Ajmer. She also got her second Master’s Degree in Jain Philosophy and Comparative Studies from Jain Vishwa Bharati Institute, Ladnun.

Samani Sanmati Pragya has extensively lectured on different aspects of Jainism, Ahimsa, Peaceful life-style and Life Management through Preksha (Meditation and Yoga).  Spreading and preaching the message of Jin, Samaniji has extensively traveled across USA, Europe and Asia.  

Samani Sanmati Pragya has studied the Jain Agams and other Jain scriptures. She is fluent in Hindi, Rajasthani, English and Sanskrit and has a working knowledge of Ardhmagdhi. Samaniji practices and teaches Science of Living and Preksha Meditation. She is also expert in therapeutic Healing. Samani Sanmati Pragya has composed hundreds of devotional songs and poems.  Samaniji makes her lectures and presentation very interesting by creatively mixing her oratory skills, poetic aptitude, and melodious voice.

Samani Sanmati Pragya has appeared on radio talks in the USA and addressed press conferences in India many times. Samaniji has organized and participated in various workshops, Preksha meditation camps, Jainism lecture series, interfaith programs and teachers training. In 1998 she met John Pope in Vatican City and in 2001 she led a prayer meeting at the Senate of Ohio, USA.
