Namo Arihantaanam
We bow to Arihants who have achieved absolute truth. They are omniscient (achieved keval gyaan) and are beyond attachment. They devoted their entire lives for upliftment of life on Earth. They are Supreme Human Being and have destroyed 4 karmas (gyanavarni, darshanavarni, mohaneeya karma and antaraaya karma). They have 12 virtues.
Namo Siddhannam
We bow to Siddhas. Siddhas are Supreme Being who attained salvation. They have destroyed all 8 karmas. Siddhas have 8 virtues. |

Namo Aayiriyaanam
We bow to Acharyas (monks who know the principles of religion). Acharyas are religious leaders of an orgnization. They have 36 virtues.
Namo Uvajjhaayaanam
We bow to Upaadhyaayas. They are religious teachers and have 25 virtues.
Namo Loae Savva Saahoonam
We bow to Saddhus. They follow the path to spirtual progress. They take the 5 vows and devote their lives to the selfless pursuit of the enlightment of all.

Namaskar Mantra have 5 verses and 35 letters. |

Namaskar Mantra is worshipping the virtues. |

The reason we do not start Navkar Mantra with Namo Siddhaanam is because Arihantaas show the path to harmony while Siddhaas do not. |

Tirthankars only exist in the 3rd and 4th cycle. |

The first Karma to destroy is Mohaneeya Karma (deluding karma) and that generally takes the longest time to destroy. |
